How the scam operates.
Blue Dragon presents itself through bd-fx.com as a retail forex and CFD brokerage. The platform's marketing anchors its credibility to a claimed registration with the Financial Services Authority of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, a jurisdiction commonly selected by unregulated operators because IBC status there is inexpensive to obtain and superficially resembles a regulatory licence to less experienced investors.
The registration claim is structurally misleading. The SVG FSA does not licence or regulate forex brokers; IBC status in that jurisdiction confers no legal authorisation to offer leveraged financial products to the public. Blue Dragon's registration was subsequently cancelled, yet the platform continued operating and soliciting clients. During this period, any funds deposited with the operator were placed with an entity holding no regulatory standing of any kind, with no capital adequacy requirements and no obligation to segregate client money.
For operations of this profile, the breakdown typically arrives when users attempt to withdraw funds. The pattern is consistent across this category of platform: administrative barriers appear in sequence, including documentation requests, compliance holds, or unexplained charges applied against the account balance. Communication with the operator becomes progressively less responsive, and deposited capital is not returned. Once the withdrawal process is obstructed, recovery without third-party assistance is unlikely.
Red flags we documented.
- 01Cancelled SVG Registration Used as a Credibility SignalSVG FSA registration confers only International Business Company status and explicitly does not constitute a forex trading licence. Blue Dragon's registration was furthermore cancelled, meaning the platform continued soliciting clients with a credential that was never valid for its stated purpose and had been formally revoked by the time BrokersView investigated.
- 02Operation Continued After Registration Was RevokedBrokersView confirmed that Blue Dragon remained active and accepting clients after its SVG registration was cancelled. Continuing to operate as a financial services provider following the revocation of even a marginal registration signals deliberate disregard for investor protection obligations.
- 03No Licence from Any Recognised Financial AuthorityBlue Dragon holds no authorisation from any jurisdiction with credible regulatory oversight of retail forex activity. Without a recognised licence, there are no capital requirements, no client fund segregation rules, and no formal dispute resolution mechanism available to depositors.
- 04SVG Jurisdiction Selected for Absence of OversightSaint Vincent and the Grenadines is a common destination for unregulated forex operators because its FSA does not supervise or licence forex businesses. Selecting this jurisdiction is a structural choice that minimises accountability rather than demonstrating compliance with any investor-protection standard.
- 05Confirmed Warning from Independent AggregatorBrokersView declared Blue Dragon a fraudulent operation in September 2025, citing the absence of valid authorisation and the platform's continued post-cancellation activity. The determination rested on verifiable registration records, not unverified user complaints alone.
