§ 02 · Why the Name

"CryptoLeek?"
We hear it a lot.

We named the firm CryptoLeek because a leek roots deep, and that's what real recovery work looks like. While most "recovery" services run surface-level scripts, we dig down: on-chain forensics, evidence reconstruction, jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction follow-up. Roots, not promises.

The name is unusual on purpose. The crypto-recovery space is full of indistinguishable generic brands, "Crypto Recovery Pro", "Asset Reclaim International", and most of them are scams. We chose a name that you remember and that signals what the work actually looks like underneath.

§ 03 · Methodology

Three disciplines,
one investigative method.

CryptoLeek was established in 2018 by a small team with backgrounds in blockchain analytics, financial-crime investigation, and dispute resolution. We started because we saw too many fraud victims pay second-stage scammers who marketed themselves as recovery firms. We exist as the version of that service that isn't a scam.

Blockchain Forensics

Our analysts use the same toolchain as regulators and tier-1 exchange compliance teams, Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, Arkham. Every trace is anchored to specific transaction hashes and block heights.

Legal & Compliance

We prepare evidence to a standard that holds up with payment providers, exchanges, and courts. We work with bar-licensed counsel in the UK, Germany, Singapore, and Malta directly; we coordinate with partner firms in 35+ other jurisdictions.

Michelle Lach

Founder & Lead Investigator

Michelle Lach founded CryptoLeek in 2018 after eight years investigating financial-crime and asset-recovery cases at a Big-4 forensic practice in London. She leads the firm's on-chain investigation work and has personally directed the trace and evidence phase on cases across more than thirty jurisdictions, with particular focus on romance-into-investment scams and the secondary recovery-scam wave that follows them. She holds the Chainalysis Reactor Certification and the ACFE Certified Fraud Examiner credential. Michelle is not a lawyer; civil action is coordinated through the firm's bar-licensed counsel network.
