§ 02 · Pricing
Pricing
How do I get a price for my case? +
Contact us with the details of your case via the case-file form. The 24-hour assessment is free. If we accept the case for investigation, we issue a written quote for a flat investigation retainer — scoped to your specific case — before any work begins. No prices are published on the site because every case is scoped individually; the only way to get an accurate number for your situation is to start with the free assessment.
Why don't you publish prices on the site? +
Investigation retainer pricing depends on case-specific factors we cannot know until we have seen your file: the asset path, the jurisdictions involved, the volume of evidence to package, and whether counsel coordination is needed. Publishing a single number would either overcharge victims with simpler cases or undersell complex multi-jurisdiction investigations. The written quote you receive after assessment reflects YOUR case, not a posted rate card.
How do you charge? +
The initial 24-hour case assessment is free. If we accept the case for investigation, you receive a written quote for a flat investigation retainer — scoped to case complexity, the jurisdictions involved, and the on-chain trail — before any work begins. No vague "send funds so we can start" demands; you see the price and the deliverables up front.
Why are you charging up front? I thought legitimate recovery firms don't do that. +
Reputable cryptocurrency-recovery firms charge for the investigation work itself — on-chain forensics, evidence packaging, exchange escalation, jurisdictional coordination — because that work carries real cost regardless of recovery outcome. The defining marker of a recovery SCAM is unsolicited cold contact combined with vague, unscoped upfront demands. Our model is the opposite: you contact us first, the case assessment is free, and any retainer is quoted in writing with a specific scope-of-work before payment.
Is there a minimum case size? +
No. We assess every case on its merits. Smaller losses are typically scoped to a lower retainer; larger or multi-jurisdictional cases scale up. The free 24-hour assessment tells you whether the work is even viable before any commitment.
What does the investigation retainer cover? +
On-chain forensics, evidence pack preparation, communications with exchanges and payment processors, regulatory filings on your behalf, and weekly case updates. Counsel fees (if your case escalates to civil action) are billed separately by the law firm, not by us.
Do you accept payment in cryptocurrency? +
No. We invoice in fiat (USD, GBP, or EUR) via bank transfer or card. This is a deliberate decision, accepting crypto as a recovery firm creates obvious conflicts and looks self-interested in this niche.
§ 03 · Process & Timing
Process & Timing
How long does a case take? +
Most engagements run between four and sixteen weeks, depending on jurisdictional cooperation and the asset path. A simple compliance escalation can resolve in days; a complex multi-jurisdiction freeze can take months.
How fast do you respond to a new case? +
A senior analyst reads every intake within 24 hours and replies with a written assessment by your preferred contact method, yes, no, or conditional.
Who actually works on my case? +
Each case is assigned to a lead analyst at intake. That analyst owns the file from start to closure, and they're your direct point of contact. We do not pass cases between junior staff.
Do you update me as the case progresses? +
Yes, weekly written status updates while the case is active, plus immediate notification of significant developments (compliance acknowledgement, asset freeze, recovered funds).
§ 04 · Recovery Odds
Recovery Odds
What percentage of cases get recovered? +
Across all cases we accept for full investigation, roughly 75-85% see partial or full recovery. We can give you a more specific probability for your case after the initial assessment, and if the odds are low, we will tell you plainly.
Can stolen crypto really be recovered? +
Often, yes, depending on how the funds moved and where they ended up. If your funds were deposited to a regulated exchange, recovery is usually realistic. If they were laundered through mixers or moved to non-cooperative jurisdictions, recovery is much harder. The free assessment tells you which applies.
What if the funds are already in a mixer? +
We will tell you honestly. In most mixer cases there is no realistic recovery path, and we will not take payment to pretend otherwise. We will give you a written assessment you can share with your lawyer and law enforcement, at no charge.
§ 05 · Legal & Jurisdictional
Legal & Jurisdictional
Are you a law firm? +
No. We are an investigations firm, we trace funds, document evidence, and coordinate recovery action. Where civil litigation or freezing orders are needed, we coordinate with bar-licensed counsel in your jurisdiction or our partner firms in 40+ countries.
Do you provide legal advice? +
No. We do not provide legal, tax, or financial advice. The evidence packs we produce are designed to support your counsel, not to replace them.
Which jurisdictions do you work in? +
We work directly with cases originating in the UK, US, EU, Singapore, Australia, and Canada. For other jurisdictions we partner with local counsel. The recovery action almost always plays out in the jurisdiction where the stolen funds were laundered to, not where the victim lives.
§ 06 · Privacy & Security
Privacy & Security
How is my information protected? +
All intake submissions are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to case files is logged. You can request the complete record of data we hold on you, or its deletion, at any time by emailing editorial@cryptoleek.com.
Will my case be made public? +
Never without your explicit consent. We sometimes publish anonymised case summaries to help other victims understand what is possible, but we only do this with your written agreement and with all identifying details removed.
Can scammers find out I've hired you? +
Our communications with you are confidential. We do not contact the scam operators directly until and unless our recovery strategy specifically requires it, and in those cases we coordinate the timing with you.
