How the scam operates.
The domain xn--mytherwallet-cok.com is an internationalised domain name that, when rendered by most browsers, appears visually identical to a well-known Ethereum self-custody wallet service. The operator exploits a documented weakness in punycode display: a Unicode character in the label is indistinguishable from its ASCII counterpart at normal reading size. The site almost certainly presents a complete wallet interface, reproducing the genuine service's branding and layout with sufficient fidelity to pass a casual inspection.
Victims typically arrive via phishing emails, malvertising, or social media links that render the Unicode form of the domain, obscuring its punycode encoding. Once on the page, the operative prompt is to enter a seed phrase, private key, or keystore file, framed as routine wallet access or recovery. These credentials are collected server-side. Because Ethereum private keys and BIP-39 seed phrases grant unconditional access to on-chain assets, a single submission is sufficient for the operator to drain the wallet entirely.
The fraud typically goes undetected until the victim's wallet has already been emptied. Discovery, where it occurs at all, usually comes when an attentive user inspects the browser address bar closely enough to notice the punycode prefix or a subtly malformed character in the label. At that point the funds are ordinarily gone: blockchain transactions are irreversible, the wallet is non-custodial by design, and there is no intermediary positioned to freeze or recover the transfer.

The absence of verifiable operator identity, physical address, or regulatory registration means victims have no formal recourse channel and investigators face significant attribution barriers.

Once credentials are harvested and funds transferred on-chain, the transaction cannot be reversed by any third party.
